Airbus, the global aerospace and technology leader, is set to establish a state-of-the-art Research & Development Centre of Excellence at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara, Gujarat. This strategic initiative marks a significant step in advancing India’s aerospace innovation ecosystem and nurturing world-class talent in cutting-edge technologies.
The proposed Centre of Excellence will serve as a hub for aerospace research, digital engineering, and advanced manufacturing technologies, fostering close collaboration between industry and academia. It will also provide hands-on training opportunities for students and researchers, strengthening India’s ambition to become a global hub for high-end aerospace innovation.
Speaking on the initiative, Airbus representatives emphasized that the collaboration with GSV aligns with the company’s commitment to supporting India’s vision of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” through indigenous technology development and global knowledge exchange.
The partnership is expected to accelerate advancements in areas such as:
